Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a graphic designer and have been living in London for five years. I still like to do mostly print based work because I enjoy the challenge of creating balance & harmony in a design and because I love the smell of fresh ink. In my spare time I like to sketch typefaces and am a keen amateur photographer. Other interests include music, frisbee and day-dreaming.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Babette and I am currently graduating at the Art Academy ArtEZ in Arnhem. I would like to earn my money as a graphic designer. That would be a dream for me, because it all started out as a hobby. When I was little, I made little magazines about horses and the Spice Girls. Now I love to make beautiful books, tiny zines and posters.

For our third interview we have found you an amazingly talented designer from the Netherlands. We love her unique style and are happy she gave us some of her time to talk about her work & interests.

Hi Rivka! Can you tell a bit about yourself?
I’m a jewellery designer and a graphic designer at a fashion company. There I design hangtags and flyers. It is wonderful to earn money by being creative and having just enough time to work on my own projects.
My interests are: the world… I get my inspiration from a film, an object, trash, a beautiful font, the colors of an animal or even someone’s personality. My favourite inspirations are David Attenborough documentaries and any art blog.

When we were browsing the web in search of inspiring people working with patterns, we came across Sissy, a talented creative. So we asked her if she could share a bit about herself and what she is doing and she happily responded. Thank you Sissy!

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I live in the biggest (and most beautiful) island of Greece, Crete, and I work in healthcare management. At the same time I pursue a PhD in the History of Medicine, which means that I study – or have to study – for a few hours every single day after work. I’ve always, nevertheless, found the time to work on creative projects, having to do mostly with painting and collage, and this is what I continue to do today; only now I also work on textile design, and make my first attempts to take artistic photographs. Three months ago I opened my Etsy shop with the name “Sacred & Profane Designs” which is now the home of all of my creative endeavors!

Hi Daniel! Please tell us a bit about yourself.
Well we can start with I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Land of rolling prairies, endless blue skies and deep freeze winters. Growing up I had what one considers a normal childhood. I would spend most of my time drawing things, mostly monsters. I remember my dad once asking me why I was so obsessed with drawing monsters. At one point I think he thought that I was perhaps a little bit troubled. I only drew them because they were cool to create.

We’d like to present to you Carli Hyland, one of our most trusted users. She has been amongst our fans from the beginning and according to legend it was for her that Wouter made the first pattern-making experiment that would later turn into the Repper software. Enjoy!

Tell us a bit about yourself. Are you a creative professional or do you spend your spare time on your own creative projects?
I am a photographer, illustrator and bookmaker, but I also do a bit of tiddling about with some design. I guess I’m a creative professional, I spend the majority of the working week designing and building books, on the weekends I shoot and in the evenings I process my photographs and create new ways of stitching books together. I recently illustrated a children’s book for Canadian writer Frank Streicher, soon to be published!
